Retro Your Rock - The Satisfactory with Quite Alright, and The Rambles (duo)

Retro Your Rock with the traditionally mop rocking The Satisfactory (Mtl), jazz rock enthusiasts Quite Alright, and old country rock duo Braden Foulkes and Riley Burns of The Rambles. One night only - this Friday - be whisked away by nostalgia, sprinkled with fresh sensibilities.

The Satisfactory:

The Satisfactory are a Canadian rock 'n' roll band fronted by lead singer and songwriter Salvador Vaughan. Salvador had been writing songs for a couple of years, drawing inspiration from everything from Bo Diddley to Britpop, before officially forming the band in the summer of 2023. They played their first show at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto before relocating to Montreal in the fall, where they have been based ever since. In the months that followed, The Satisfactory released two double singles and began growing their reputation as a phenomenal live act in the local Montreal scene, even landing an opening slot at a sold-out Club Soda show less than two years into their existence. Now with a few new members, an arsenal of songs, and a dedicated growing fanbase, The Satisfactory are poised to make a name for themselves in today’s crowded music world. Their infectious sound is nostalgic, yet somehow fresh and honest. I’ve seen it—the mop revival is here. Be there.

Quite Alright:

A Ottawa-based jazz-pop and soul group of young musicians making a name for themselves in the music scene. Starting in March of 2025, the three original members, Sonya Papic, Simon Zaloum and Astrid Sweeney, started writing and performing original material locally. Since then, they’ve added Daniel Gracie on keys and Marko Culf on tenor sax. They’ve been going strong ever since and plan to keep creating more music this year!

The Rambles (duo):

The Rambles are a Canadian outfit born from the basements and garages of Stittsville Ontario, with one goal in mind: play good music. Growing up on a healthy diet of gritty blues tones and ear-worm guitar riffs, The Rambles have crafted their unique brew that is unmistakably their own that leaves audiences wanting more. The Rambles continue the legacy of combining blues-rock tones, nostalgic soundscapes and even hard-rock mandolin on their debut, self-titled EP in 2024, with clear influences of The Black Keys, The White Stripes and The Tragically Hip among countless others. The Rambles look to extend their catalogue with various releases slated for 2025.
